simiao's new guitar
Lindy and I had the privilege of passing on an
awesome gift to Simiao when we got back from
the states - a new guitar!!  Someone approached
us when we were home and said they wanted to
seed into his destiny in worship.  They gave us
some money and asked us to choose a guitar
for him in South Africa (easier than traveling with
one) on our way back into Mozambique.
 I have to admit, it's
so fun to shop for these
guys!  Thanks (you know who you are) for letting
us pick out this wonderful present.  Simiao
couldn't quit saying "I'm SO excited, I'm SO
excited!"  From left:  looking so proud inside his
little house, and out in front of it.  Thanks again!
new sweatshirts!
  Speaking of "special gifts," someone
else requested that we  pick out some
warm, comfortable sweatshirts (hoodies)
for our seven when we got back - seeing
that we were about to come into Winter in
Moz.
We found some incredible slate blue
ones online and they arrived the day
before we left.  Thank you (you know who
you are as well), the boys absolutely LOVE
them as you can see!!  You can almost
"feel" how comfortable they are just
looking at the pictures, eh?
Top left to

:  Inoque, his older brother - Filimon,
Adrian and Inoque "puttin their heads
together," and Adrian resting on the back
porch.
Bottom left to right:  Chico, then
Rosaque and Chico looking like
department store models, and Rosaque.
They feel warm and snug, . . . and loved!
lindy's birthday
Any excuse to celebrate with the kids!  Tracey brought her house of eight over to
say "happy birthday!" to mama Linda (and of course, to get some of her "renowned"
cake).  During the course of the day many missionaries, workers and our boys -
naturally, came and stayed and said "thanks for being here, and for being you".
Really great day for her.  To the right, Adrian says "happy birthday" Texas style.
the dorm's new bathroom
Thanks so much to those of you who gave financially so that we could get a much needed
"makeover" in the dorm's bathroom.  Above;  already starting on the renovation - maintenance had
replaced two worn-out and broken toilets with these two new urinals, as well as putting two new
toilets in as well (not shown).
Right;  Jordao and Fabito, two ex-residents of the dorm, now living
with extended family, did a great job painting (along with Antonio Inacio).
Far right;  Miguel looking
over the new improvements, giving them a huge "two thumbs up!"
a great clothing giveaway
We always love the opportunity you, along with our visitors to the center,
give us to pass out some much needed clothes.  With so many kids here,
it's something we're always doing.  The boys of our dorm are SO
appreciative!
sa with our seven!!
Lindy and I had the great privilege of taking our seven to South Africa this last
month.  This is a
big deal to us because we feel like more exposure is going to
add to their level of hope.  In fact, a couple of them asked us when we got back,
"why don't we take better care of our country like they do in South Africa?"  So who
knows!?  We've been working on getting their passports this whole last year, so
they almost couldn't believe it when we said "okay, pack your bags, we're going!"
They were
great and had a great time - so many stories.  Maybe I can add some
in over these next months.  We thank the Lord because they are realizing more
and more the love of their Father and acting more and more like "sons!"
